VILLALVAZO CLERICAL SERVICES
Villalvazo Clerical Services is a business that offers taxes to everyone. Since doing taxes can often be a stressful time for people, I tried to incorporate certain things within the visual design which would be appealing to the common crowd. In choosing a color palette I went with a dark blue because I wanted people to get a sense of calmness when looking at the design. I then decided to go with a yellow-orange. This would symbolize the warm and welcoming aspect of the company.
When designing a logo I decided to go with something abstract and simple. I think the visual look of the logo it would give off a professional appearance compared with local competition. When choosing a slogan I picked the qualities which were most important to your business.
For the typefaces in the logo, I went with Gidole and Shree Devanagari 714. I feel like these fonts work well together giving the logo a simple yet elegant look. My goal was to be sure that the visual identity of your business looked professional and elegant. I also wanted to be sure that the look of your business was simple and attractive for people who decide to choose you for tax preparation.
GREYWOLF RESORT & LODGE
Using Wix, the goal was to create a website for a real or non-existent business.
This site is also formatted for mobile. The idea was also to gain more experience and familiarity using the Wix platform. I decided to create a fictional resort called “Grey Wolf Resort & Lodge”. A new logo was created with this site. Included with the site there also needed to be at least 5 different web pages. It was important to include a bookings tab in order to draw potential guests in along with a slideshow.
Since this business is a resort, it was essential that I had a page that shows the different types of rooms to stay in. Amenities are important to any big resort so I included a page for all the different activities. The overall theme of this site has a log cabin aesthetic. My inspiration comes from looking at other resorts and hotels in Lake Tahoe, CA. The Contact page and map are placed conveniently at the bottom of the home page. Guests will also be able to learn more about the history of the resort.
